Biostatistics & Project Manager
Roberta Biciuffi holds a degree in Human Nutrition and a career that bridges clinical research, nutritional counselling and a sharp talent for organization. In the lab, she serves as Project Manager for the MAMELI and PhActHealth projects, coordinating activities, deadlines, meetings and people with a determination that makes everything possible.
She gained experience in clinical research at the Mangiagalli Clinic, where she worked on studies of the Mediterranean diet in menopause, pregnancy and endometriosis, contributing to study design, participant recruitment and personalized counselling. She later took charge of the most “hands-on” and complex aspects of the PhActHealth study: tracking down clinicians, taming the Ethics Committee and keeping all operational threads aligned. It’s a job that demands tenacity, diplomacy and an impressive ability to keep things moving even when no one is entirely sure how they’re supposed to move.
In the group, she applies the same rigor: data management, supervision of activities, progress monitoring and rapid problem solving. And then there is her most unmistakable trait: she talks to everyone, always, with a communicative energy that sweeps up even the most introverted. It’s not just the lab that knows this — at the LITA building of the Sacco campus, everyone knows her, from the ground floor to the last office with the lights still on. There is a fair chance even a fire extinguisher would greet her when she walks by.
In the time that remains, she stays faithful to her first vocation: clinical nutrition. She continues to work as a full-fledged nutritionist, from assessments to personalized plans and long-term guidance for people navigating their dietary choices.
In short: a relentless project manager, a PR professional in any circumstance, and a nutritionist for everything else.
